ChronoFlora Build 0.4-alpha Released for Download
Hello everyone,
I'm excited to share with you all the latest update for Chrono Flora, version 0.4-alpha! This release brings a host of new features and improvements that significantly enhance the core gameplay mechanics. Here’s what’s new:
What's New in 0.4-alpha
- New Timer UI: We've added a timer UI to the interface. It doesn't have functionality yet, but it's set to play a crucial role in future updates.
- Second "Blank" Island Map: The map for the second island, where you will need to use your inventory strategically, is now accessible.
- Stack Counter Meter: Each inventory item now includes a stack counter meter UI element, making it easier to track your resources.
- Inventory Slot Selection: You can now select the active inventory slot using numbers 1 to 6 or navigate through them using the square brackets.
- Item Management: Items can now be dropped or thrown from the inventory using the 'Q' key and placed using the 'E' key, with the tile that will be affected by placing highlighted for clarity.
- New Sound Effects: Enjoy new sound effects for swinging your sword, throwing items, and planting them, enhancing the audio experience.
- New Music Track: A new music track has been added to enrich the game's ambience and enhance the overall mood as you explore the island.
- Move with the Arrow Keys: Along with W/A/S/D you can now use the arrow keys to move around.
Looking Forward
This was a significant update focused on implementing and enhancing much of the gameplay mechanics. The next planned update will focus more on art and presentation, aiming to bring even more life to the world of Chrono Flora.
EDIT: On reflection I've changed my mind. It's high time the player is given something to do, so the next build will focus on getting the core gameplay loop installed, finally.
Thank You!
Your feedback has been invaluable in shaping these updates, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the new features. Thank you for your continued support as we refine and expand this game together.
Until next time,
The Chrono Flora Dev (Yes, it’s just me!) 🌿
