ChronoFlora Build 0.3-alpha Released for Download

Hello everyone,

I'm thrilled to announce the release of Chrono Flora 0.3-alpha! In the last update, players could walk around with fully animated movements, swing a sword, and make some bushes disappear. Here's what's new in this build:

What's New in 0.3-alpha

  • Plant-Covered Island: The entire island is now lush with plants! Currently, it's the same type of plant, but don't worry, more variety is on the way.
  • Plant Drops and Collectibles: When you cut down a plant, a piece of itself is left behind, and a collectible item "pops out," ready to be collected. It bobs up and down until you get close, and then magnetically draws towards you once you get close enough.
  • Inventory System: A new inventory system has been implemented, allowing up to six unique stacks of items, with a limit of 20 items per stack. These numbers are subject to change for balance purposes. While you can't use items yet, collecting them to the limit helps you keep track of your progress. The inventory UI currently lacks a number display, that's coming soon.
  • Expanded Map Size: The map size has been increased from a 32x32 island to a 64x64 island, giving you much more room to explore!
  • Enhanced Visuals: The game window now defaults to a 720p widescreen resolution, and camera zoom levels have been adjusted to ensure everything looks just right.
  • More Controls: As per some feedback, you can now use the arrow keys to move around instead of just W/A/S/D

Thank You!

I'm incredibly grateful for the community's support and feedback throughout this journey. The improvements in this build are thanks to the that support and feedback. Enjoy exploring the new features, and I'll keep refining the gameplay as I work on future releases.

Until next time,
The Chrono Flora Dev (Yes, it’s just me!) 🌿
